   Italy’s Elite Bersaglieri (Marines) have what used to be an ostrich plume, in their hats. I believe it’s a different feather, now, but these guys are nothing to laugh at. Their marching band plays while they jog, which is a feat in, and of itself.

   I got one in Bush Gardens, back about 1995… they mucked up something, and it came out an odd color, but, it was kind of cool, while it lasted.

   That’s kind of how henna “tattoos” became rather popular. They disappear, after a week, or so, I believe.

   I’ve done that. But now, I keep a book in both my truck, and my bike saddle bag, so, if I forget the book I’m in the middle of, I have to start. I’m a dinosaur, where electronics are concerned, though. I’ve survived very well for quite a number of decades, without getting too involved. I can do enough to get by, and, I’m good. :)

   We didn’t sled off the porch roof, but, after I shoveled it off, there were repeated jumps off, into the large pile, on the ground.

   I wore a K-Mart special jacket, $40 bib snow pants, a K-Mart turtleneck, and my gen-yoo-ine K-Mart long underwears, and $10 J.C. Pennys gloves…. I skied in -60 wind chills, and was a happy little clam. My helmet, I think, was the most expensive thing I had.

   I’m rather old-fashioned, AND technology deficient, so, even at appointments, my phone stays in my vehicle, and I have an honest-to-pete book, in my hands. :)
