There is a positive aspect to speaking what you want, but to make it work, you then need to do the work to change what you can change to become the person that you want to be.
I once interviewed for a drafting position at a company that built custom homes. Their slogan was “getting people in the most home that they can afford.”
A year after I interviewed with them, they were out of business, back when the housing marked changed. I am glad that I did not get the job offer from them. It just did not feel right.
A couple of weeks later I had another job interview, and I have been with that company for 17 years in January.
