According to some research I conducted, pizza was first reported to be in existence shortly before the turn of the first millennium. However, pizza, as we know it today, was devised between the 16th and 18th centuries. Note that these vague bits of information are taken from multiple sources, but one thing is certain: Contrary to what the boy said, pizza existed in the 19th century.
